This is a 12-hour weekend day position, working Friday to Sunday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Job Description

The Operating Room Nurse will work in a dynamic team environment, assisting with a variety of surgical procedures in our 11 total surgical suites. This role will offer opportunities for cross-training in Endoscopy and a chance to expand your skill set with our recently implemented DaVinci Robot.

Responsibilities

• Assist in various surgical cases including General, Orthopedic, Neurology, Vascular (excluding open heart), ENT, and eye surgeries.
• Participate in call rotation, which includes one weeknight call every four weeks and one weekend shift call.
• Utilize Baxter pumps and operate equipment such as Phillips and Dynomap robots.
• Ensure adherence to ACLS protocols due to modern sedation practices required in the unit.
• Collaborate effectively with surgeons and the surgical team to provide optimal patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current and unexpired RN license required.
• BLS certification is mandatory.
• Experience in all areas of the Operating Room is essential.
• Previous experience with DaVinci Robot is a significant plus.
• Candidates must be located within a 50-mile radius.
