Job Overview: Job Title: Materials R&D and Purchasing Coordinator Department: Materials Sourcing and Development, Supply Chain Reformation is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Materials Coordinator to join our dynamic team. This full-time, entry-level role will support the Materials R&D and Materials Purchasing teams by assisting with a variety of tasks related to data entry, materials sample management, package tracking, and calendar coordination. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, curious, possess strong communication skills, and have a passion for fashion and fabric. This role reports to the Manager, Materials R&D and Sourcing. What You’ll Do: Maintain organization of physical color & pattern development libraries. Own maintenance of sourcing library for fabric, trims, and packaging. Prepare references for color and development sample review meetings, including note-taking. Send out, manage, track and receive development and bulk shipping sample packages. Maintain organization of bulk shipping sample archive. Prepare for bulk shipping sample reviews, pulling and filling back of standards. Support Ref Deadstock materials sell-off process Liaise with Sample Room and PD for bulk sample yardage requests to support photo shoot and PP samples Own data entry across a range of digital systems including PLM and Google Sheets for accurate and timely updates. Manage sourcing appointments and mill holiday calendar. What You’ll Need: Education: High school diploma or equivalent. A degree or coursework in fashion, materials science, supply chain, or a related field is a plus. Experience: No prior experience required, though any internship or previous administrative support roles in fashion or materials management is a plus. Skills: Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Proficient in Google workspace and/or Microsoft Office Suite, with generative AI proficiency. Familiarity with PLM systems is a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment with a keen sense of urgency. Compensation: At Reformation, we believe in transparency and equity when it comes to compensation. For this role, the anticipated base hourly range is $20-26 / hr, depending on a variety of factors, including but not limited to relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and internal compensation equity. This role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a range of factors, including company performance, department goals, and individual contributions. Bonus amounts and eligibility are not guaranteed and are determined at the company’s discretion.
