Job Description
Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Duties

The Operating Room (OR) provides care for a diverse range of patients across various surgical specialties. These specialties include:

Orthopedics
General Surgery
Plastics
Urology
Cardiac
Neurosurgery
Vascular Surgery
Ophthalmology
Gynecology (GYN)
Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT)
Thoracic Surgery
Oral-Maxillofacial Surgery
Trauma Care (Level 1 Trauma Center)

The OR is equipped with 2 Da Vinci robots utilized across multiple surgical services, and a transplant program covering liver, kidney, and heart transplants.

Job Requirements

Current RN License (New York State License ONLY)
Minimum of two (2) years of operating room experience in a Level 1 trauma setting
Able to scrub and circulate during surgical procedures
Telemetry experience is highly desired

Certifications

BLS Certification (American Heart Association ONLY)
ACLS Certification (Preferred)

Preferred Surgical Experience

Desirable experience includes:

Specialty Cases (Transplants, Plastics, Reconstructive Surgery)
Craniotomy
Strong Orthopedic background
