Overview:
Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

FT, Evenings, Call Required

$10,000 Sign On Bonus

Join Mercy's Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) team at a Level I STEMI and Trauma Center.

Mercy's CVOR provides advanced surgical care for adult patients across six operating rooms, including a hybrid OR and a peripheral vascular lab. Nurses on this team support both Cardiothoracic Surgery and Vascular Surgery , working alongside highly specialized surgeons performing:

• Open heart and vascular procedures

• Minimally invasive surgeries

• Robotic cardiothoracic procedures

• Vascular interventions and complex vascular surgeries

A unique benefit of this role is Mercy's comprehensive training program, where nurses are oriented and trained in both the circulating and scrub roles.

Qualifications

Required:

• Strongly prefer one year of RN experience

• Nursing degree from an accredited school

• Current Missouri RN license

• BLS certification

• OR nurse with experience in a surgical setting

• Interest in cardiovascular and vascular specialties

• Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment

• Team-oriented with strong critical thinking and communication skills

• Interested in expanding skills in both circulating and scrub roles
