About the Position

Job Title: Cath Lab Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Cath Lab Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active state license preferred, any active state license (in hand or pending) accepted Certifications: ACLS, BLS, ARRT(R) or CCI RCIS Must-Have: Skilled in cardiac cath lab procedures including LHC, RHC, PCI, PTCA, stent placement, atherectomy, temp pacer, Impella, IABP, TAVR, Watchman, and Mitraclip. Experienced in diagnostic/interventional cath lab settings using fluoroscopy. Knowledge of isolation precautions, equipment handling, and supply management. Description: The Cath Lab Tech will be responsible for performing various cardiac procedures. Shift hours are from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, four days a week. Each clinician is expected to take on-call shifts and late shifts within a six-week period. A full weekend of call must be scheduled together along with additional weekday call shifts. One Saturday shift for elective cases is also required per six-week period. Clinicians must be able to return to the workplace within 30 minutes when called. Availability to work one holiday per 13-week contract is necessary. The department serves adult patients with a daily census of 15 to 20. Common diagnoses include coronary artery disease, valve disorders, and heart failure. Advanced procedures include TAVR, left atrial appendage closures, and thrombectomy. The facility features six procedure rooms equipped with state-of-the-art technology. The candidate must demonstrate accurate monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias. Strict adherence to sterile techniques is required. Collaboration with an interdisciplinary team is essential for complex heart condition care. The Cath Lab Tech will participate in rapid response protocols and hemodynamic monitoring. Travelers must be prepared to work at least one holiday during their assignment.
