Qualifications The Respiratory Therapist position requires graduation from an accredited school of Respiratory Therapy and basic computer literacy. Good verbal and written communication skills are required. The candidate must function with initiative and independent judgment and have a desire for continuous quality improvement. A bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or a related healthcare field is preferred. Previous hospital experience and additional NBRC specialty credentials are preferred. All respiratory therapists must hold the National Board for Respiratory Care entry‑level certification (CRT) prior to their first day of employment. Graduate respiratory therapists must possess a valid permanent or temporary permit to practice with the licensing board in the state of hire before employment begins. The Registered Respiratory Therapist credential is required upon hire or by the end of one year of employment and must be maintained throughout employment. Basic Life Support certification is required upon hire or within 90 days of hire. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or an equivalent, determined by the site, is required upon hire or within 6 months of hire. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) where applicable. Additional life‑support certifications may be required by site. Compensation Detail $37.63 - $56.40 per hour Benefits Eligible Yes Schedule Full Time Hours/Pay Period 72 Schedule Details Three 12‑hour shifts per week, rotating day/night or straight night shifts available. Shifts cover 7:00 am - 7:00 pm or 7:00 pm - 7:00 am. Weekend Schedule Every third weekend.
