ARN - Resource Registered Nurse

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Resource Registered Nurse to provide exceptional patient care across multiple departments including Inpatient Services, Critical Care, Birthing Center, and Emergency Services within a regional healthcare setting in the Midwest. This role involves coordinating patient education and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high standards of professional nursing.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver skilled nursing care to assigned patients, adapting to various units as needed.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments covering physical, psychological, spiritual, and social aspects upon patient admission.
- Develop, implement, and adjust individualized interdisciplinary care plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Provide ongoing patient reassessment and document clinical status and interventions accurately.
- Administer medications and IV therapy safely, ensuring proper documentation.
- Educate patients and families about disease processes and treatment plans at an understandable level.
- Assist with discharge planning from admission through hospitalization, involving the patient, family, and care team.
- Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for new staff members.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with all healthcare regulations and policies.
- Participate in compliance programs and uphold ethical standards in all nursing activities.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current Registered Nurse licensure valid in the regional state.
- Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within one year of hire.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association.
- Completion of Mandatory Reporter training within six months of employment.
- Proven ability to work effectively in Inpatient, Critical Care, Birthing Center, and Emergency departments.
- Strong assessment skills to recognize and respond to abnormal labor and other critical situations.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills to manage workload efficiently.
- Ability to maintain professional relationships with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Physical capability to meet the demands of nursing duties.
- Reliable attendance and willingness to participate in ongoing education and meetings.
This position offers part-time hours primarily during evening shifts with opportunities for full-time and weekend packages.
