General Utility Superintendent

Overview Cash Construction is now hiring a General Utility Superintendent to work out of their main location in Pflugerville, TX. The role oversees site operations across multiple projects, leading utility crews and coordinating with project and upper management to deliver work safely, on schedule, and within budget. The superintendent is a liaison between pipe crews and leadership, collaborating across teams with expertise in wet utility construction and professional field leadership. Duties may vary depending on client and project size, and degrees of responsibility and authority. This position offers a bonus plan, relocation assistance, vehicle allowance, fuel card, and toll tag. Location & Travel: Onsite at our site in the Austin/Pflugerville area. Minimal travel to other job sites throughout the region is required. Responsibilities Promote and comply with all Company and Safety policies and procedures. Safety is one of the primary drivers for success. Perform duties required of a Superintendent Level I, II, and III. Supervise the overall direction, coordination, performance and evaluation of sub‑contractors and field staff; coordinate and supervise construction activities. Monitor crew sizes and ensure resources are available for tasks. Handle equipment logistics. Perform QA on projects. Manage resource schedules for crew and equipment. Ensure project schedules are met. Hire field personnel as needed; review applications, interview, and make final hiring decisions. Serve as mentor and trainer for Level I and Level II superintendents as needed. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Maintain construction schedule, identify and solve problems. Use and maintain schedules to measure time and production to meet requirements. Keep records systematically and organized. Seek ways to improve productivity as analyzed by Project Manager. Communicate effectively both orally and in writing to large employee groups, owners, or engineers. Maintain professional appearance and positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, and employees. Interview, hire, and train direct reports; plan, assign, and direct work; appraise performance; reward and discipline employees; address complaints and resolve problems. Travel to different job sites on short notice. Grow area of operations. Qualifications Ten years of experience/knowledge in a supervisory role. Knowledge of how to install all types of pipes (PVC, DIP, FRP, HDPE, Fusible PVC). Experience in deep excavations and shoring (30+ feet deep). Wastewater treatment plant work experience (lift/pump stations, yard piping, etc.). OSHA 30 is a plus. Ability to attract top talent. Bilingual preferred.
