Position Overview: We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team as a Dishwasher and Cook at Cooney Hospitality Group Inc. This dual role requires the ability to efficiently manage dishwashing duties while also assisting with basic food preparation tasks in the kitchen. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and committed to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Wash dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment promptly and thoroughly to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
2. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dishwashing area, including emptying trash, cleaning sinks, and sanitizing surfaces.
3. Assist with basic food preparation tasks, such as chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients, and assembling dishes under the guidance of the kitchen staff.
4. Follow proper food handling and safety procedures to prevent cross-contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations.
5. Support kitchen staff during peak hours by fulfilling additional tasks as needed, such as restocking ingredients and assisting with plating dishes.
6. Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate dishwashing and food preparation activities and ensure smooth workflow.
7. Adhere to all relevant health and safety guidelines, including wearing appropriate protective gear and maintaining personal hygiene standards.
8. Assist in maintaining inventory levels by keeping track of dishwashing supplies and informing the supervisor when replenishment is needed.
9. Flexibility to perform other duties as assigned by the kitchen manager or chef to support the overall operations of the restaurant.
10. Run food to customers and provide excellent customer service.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in a similar role, preferably in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred, but not required.
• Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment is desirable.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects as required.
• Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
