Project Accountant

Serve as a finance partner to client-facing account teams for a portfolio of clients Lead the billing process and monitor accounts receivable to ensure timely collection Monitor overall project budget health Perform revenue recognition Prepare ad hoc project reporting and analysis Assist with media buy management, including media billing and reconciliations Handle ad hoc general ledger responsibilities, including reporting and analysis Identify and implement process improvements Provide backup for other team members as necessary Work across the Accounting & Finance team Requirements Progressive experience in prior accounting and/or finance roles Extensive experience in Microsoft Excel Strong organizational and time management skills Effective written and verbal communication skills Analytical problem-solving skills Strong detail orientation Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks at once Comfort working in a fast-paced environment Discretion when handling confidential information Self-motivated and highly dependable Teamwork mindset Willingness to learn new systems and processes Learning mindset and openness to using AI tools to improve efficiency, accuracy, and processes Prior experience in an agency or professional services firm preferred but not required Ability to perform the physical activities required by the position Ability to occasionally lift or move objects weighing 10–20 pounds Ability to operate a motor vehicle Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in financial analysis, project budget management, and revenue recognition while effectively collaborating with client-facing teams.
