Job Title: CMM Programmer

Job Description

The CMM Programmer programs and operates coordinate measuring machines using Verisurf software to inspect aerospace components and ensure they meet precise quality and dimensional requirements. This role focuses on accurate measurement, interpretation of blueprints and GD&T, and thorough quality assurance throughout the inspection process.

Responsibilities

• Program coordinate measuring machines (CMM) using Verisurf software to inspect aerospace parts according to engineering requirements.
• Operate CMM equipment to perform detailed dimensional inspections of components.
• Interpret and work from engineering blueprints, drawings, and specifications to define inspection criteria.
• Apply GD&T principles to set up and validate measurement plans and inspection routines.
• Perform hands-on inspection using micrometers and other precision measurement tools as needed.
• Document inspection results accurately and clearly for quality records and traceability.
• Identify nonconformances and communicate findings to quality and production teams.
• Support continuous improvement of inspection programs and processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
• Ensure all inspection activities comply with internal quality assurance procedures and aerospace standards.

Essential Skills

• Proven experience in CMM programming, specifically using Verisurf software.
• Hands-on experience operating CMM equipment in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and technical drawings.
• Solid understanding and practical application of GD&T principles.
• quality inspection and quality assurance practices.
• Proficiency in using micrometers and other precision measurement instruments.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in measurement, documentation, and reporting.
• Ability to follow established inspection procedures and quality standards.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience inspecting aerospace components or working in aerospace manufacturing.
• Familiarity with broader quality assurance processes and documentation in a regulated industry.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with quality, engineering, and production teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills to analyze dimensional issues and propose corrective actions.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brea, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
