Fiber Guardian Field Coordinator — Outdoor OSP Expert

We are currently looking for an outside plant expert for our Fiber Guardian Field Coordinator. Being an Fiber Guardian Coordinator at PRG is a unique opportunity for the well‑versed in outside plant telecommunications. Our Fiber Guardian Coordinators oversee fiber both aerial and underground deployments, and they have options for career growth into roles such as Project Manager and Construction Manager. Because of the growing demand in high‑speed fiber, we are searching for a teammate committed to protecting our customer’s plant. Responsibilities Receive your assignments Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Previous outdoor experience is a plus. Computer proficiency Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record Able to walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. Utilize utility locator equipment to verify underground utility paths within an excavation area. Able to read, understand, and reference locate tickets, as well as maps and prints. Able to communicate clearly with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners. Report to the field to verify quality accuracy and adherence of work provided by our SOW. Visit every completed WO (Relo, rehabilitation, T2P, repairs, Forward Build, etc.) within 48 hours of work completion to: Verify locate wire installed is intact Verify good tone on locate wire Locate entire segment/path related to job completion scope Verify and record depth Log and record any issues to GFiber FTE personnel Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge in underground utilities is a plus. Educated on local area dig laws. Experience using locating equipment (Dynatel, RD, Rycom, Vivax, etc.) is a plus. Customer service acumen to interpret, communicate, and help deliver client needs. Strong ability to organize and prioritize projects. Strong understanding of fiber engineering. Computer proficiency and Microsoft tools to create, manage, and present data and reporting to stakeholders and management. Strong communication skills and ability to adjust delivery to your audience verbally and in writing. Willingness to use your vehicle in the field (mileage reimbursement at the federal rate). Perform the job rain or shine. Must be able to walk extensively, sit, stand, and climb stairs throughout the day. Compensation & Benefits $28‑$32/hr with the ability to earn an annual bonus.
