Bus Driver (PT)

Job Title

Safety sensitive position regulated under the Dept. of Transportation.

Examples of Duties

• Responsible for driving transit vehicles on an assigned route following all applicable regulations and laws;
• Drives charters within Daviess County when assigned;
• Provides courteous and timely service to transit and trolley customers;
• Responsible for maintaining clean vehicles and bus shelters.

Typical Qualifications

Qualifications required at time of application:

• High School Diploma or GED; or minimum 3 months work-related experience as a bus driver or similar position; or equivalent amount of education and experience;
• Valid Driver's License; Valid CDL, Class B or higher, with P (Passenger) endorsement required after hire;
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 100 lbs., assist disabled passengers, and perform all other demands of the job satisfactorily;
• Minimum age 18
