AI Systems Engineer

AI Strategy AssistantThis position is focused on assisting and supporting Stephens executive leadership and various departments within the firm to develop and implement strategic AI-powered solutions.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesCreating and managing deployment pipelines for internally developed applications that are responsive to the needs to our business units and support teams, and mitigate new software errors or security vulnerabilities;Setup and management of software development tools and secure coding environments for use with AI coding tools;Creating a white-listed package registry for users to access pre-made software packages to speed development;Setup and maintenance of logging solutions for compliance archival and performance monitoring;Maintaining local AI inference services for certain project or ongoing/recurring workflows, embeddings for internal search services, or internal redaction AI models;Assistance with creating durable data and inference pipelines that either automate routine work or create durable data assets for the firm;Proactive work with various departments on their AI strategies;Perform other tasks as assigned by management.Education And/Or ExperienceBachelor's degree or equivalent3-5 years of related experience data strategy and data analytics or similar position and intellectually curious with a passion for the financial marketsExperience with Python or alternative coding languagesExperience with SQLKnowledge in data mining, AI and machine learning is required.Thorough understanding of equity markets, capital markets products, industry trends, regulatory changes and industry-wide best practicesEquivalent combination of education and experienceKnowledge, Skills And AbilitiesExcellent verbal, written and organizational skillsAttention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and qualityAdvanced computer skills including: Excel, SQL, Python.Ability to learn and use industry specific software as requiredAnalytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills with the ability to determine the appropriate actionSelf-starter with the ability to manage time effectively, prioritize work to balance multiple projects, and meet deadlines with minimal supervisionAbility to maintain confidentialityAbility to work under extensive time constraints
