Founded in 2017, the firm has backed over 100 companies, including Joby Aviation (NYSE: Joby), Stoke Space, Pickle Robot, and Intuition Robotics.The firm is seeking a VC Associate for its Toyota Ventures Frontier Fund(s), focused on sourcing and evaluating innovative companies in artificial intelligence, advanced materials, automation and robotics, and space technology. This is a core investment team role with full participation in the deal lifecycle.Responsibilities include networking at industry and VC events to generate deal flow, meeting with and evaluating early-stage startups and making investment recommendations, participating in due diligence, competitive analyses, and sector deep dives, preparing investment memos and presenting to the Investment Committee, supporting deal negotiations and closings, analyzing industry trends and authoring market research briefings, and collaborating with the Toyota Ventures platform team to support portfolio companies.Qualifications: 4+ years of experience in a related role; prior experience in venture capital or an operational role at a technology company preferred. Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, engineering, or a relevant field. Strong understanding of deep tech sectors; hands-on technical or product management experience is a plus. High integrity, entrepreneurial mindset, and well-established network in the startup ecosystem. Experience creating cap tables, analyzing financial statements, and preparing investment memos. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.The role is based in the San Francisco Bay Area (offices in San Francisco and Los Altos, CA), with the possibility of remote work from other U.S. cities.Apply for this Position
