Position Summary

The New Product Introduction Lead will manage and coordinate direct material activities required to support successful technology transfers and New Product Introductions (NPI). This role will work closely with Supply Chain, Procurement, Program Management, Quality, MSAT, Supplier Quality, EHS, clients, and network partners to ensure materials, SAP data, purchasing activities, and supplier requirements are established on time to support production plans and technology transfer timelines. The role will also identify and mitigate material-related risks and support continuous improvement of Supply Chain technology transfer processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Direct Procurement input and deliverables for Supply Chain Technology Transfer schedules.
• Participate in Supply Chain workstream meetings and track key deliverables required for successful technology transfers.
• Act as a delegate for the Supply Chain Technology Transfer Lead, including facilitating meetings and tracking project progress when required.
• Identify, track, mitigate, and escalate risks associated with technology transfer programs.
• Partner with Program Managers and clients to provide raw material status updates, including risks and mitigation plans.
• Collaborate with Global Procurement, clients, and network partners to source new raw materials and suppliers.
• Obtain pricing and ensure required procurement data is established to support timely issuance of GMP and non-GMP purchase orders.
• Serve as Change Owner for New Material Introductions and provide input on material-related Change Requests.
• Work with Program Managers and clients to establish Safety Stock policies and evaluate material-related costs, including potential material expiry costs.
• Manage MRP activities for customer materials, coordinate shipments, and create purchase orders as required.
• Participate in Lessons Learned and knowledge-sharing activities to continuously improve technology transfer execution.
• Lead or support Supply Chain process improvement initiatives related to NPI and technology transfers.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Intermediate-level experience in Supply Chain, Operations, Procurement, or a related field.
• Experience with direct/raw material procurement and purchasing, including Purchase Requisition-to-Purchase Order processes.
• Experience with supplier management, sourcing, and competitive bidding processes.
• Experience conducting supplier negotiations and influencing suppliers to achieve favorable business outcomes.
• Hands-on experience using SAP ERP in a purchasing/procurement environment.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines.
• Strong customer-service mindset and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently, analyze information, solve complex problems, and make timely decisions.
• APICS CPIM or equivalent MRP planning certification is preferred.
