Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor

Our esteemed client in Portland, IN is actively hiring for a Manufacturing Engineering Manager for a fulltime Direct hire opportunity. This role will fully work onsite out of their facility in Portland, IN. Below are the details: Duties Responsible for advanced line support and maintaining manufacturing performance and project management focused on automation, process optimization, scalable production methods Hands‑on work and large projects. New renovation opened last year, may add on again. Major projects from 2026-2028. Data centers and Automated Warehouses are using their jacks and products which is a reason for the increase in business Will use CAD for tooling, fixture, or other design within the facility- shouldn’t be designing facilities or placement of equipment Root cause analysis, and implementation of solutions to plantwide issues Will assist in hiring, training, firing, and will work with plant staff (tooling, engineering, programmers, etc.) Will assist or be a backup in CNC programming and/or CNC machining issues Collaborate regarding product tooling and design Time studies, costs savings activities, KPI creation and enforcement, and will be involved with internal meetings, reporting, audits, etc. Design and develop manufacturing processes and lean initiatives Analyze manufacturing process flows and systems and suggest improvements Client has an “old school” machine shop that they are modernizing and putting money, time, and resources into Job Shop Required Skills (Must have) STEM degree (mechanical, electrical)- really needs a 4 year degree 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, preferably with a job shop and machining CNC programming (Mills, Lathes) Experience with a CAM software, and preferably G-Code usage. Client uses SolidCAM Some kind of supervisory experience- having someone reporting to them, even if it’s hourly folks Project Management- seeing projects from start to finish Experience with a combination of root cause analysis, time studies, tooling or fixture design, lean manufacturing, KPI creation/enforcement, cost cutting CAD experience- not with facility design but tooling or fixture design Experience setting up and running CNC mills and lathes Preferred Skills (Nice to have) Six Sigma Green or Black belt Our best candidate will have familiarity with PLC Programming (Allen Bradley, Siemens) and industrial networking protocols #J-18808-Ljbffr Pinnacle Partners, Inc
