CVOR Surgical Technologist

Location: Lubbock, TX

Duration: 13 Weeks

Requirements:

NBSTSA Certification required
Previous travel experience required
Minimum 2 years of consecutive Cardiovascular Surgery experience
Strong Cardio-Thoracic and Vascular surgery experience required
Experience assisting in complex cardiovascular surgical procedures
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operating room environment

Responsibilities:

Prepare and maintain sterile surgical fields for cardiovascular procedures
Assist surgeons during cardio-thoracic and vascular surgeries
Ensure availability and proper functioning of surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment
Anticipate surgeon needs and provide appropriate instrumentation during procedures
Adhere to infection prevention, patient safety, and operating room protocols
Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, anesthesiologists, and other surgical team members
Maintain accurate documentation and support quality patient care throughout the perioperative process

Assignment Details:

No floating required
On-call required, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Typical staffing ratio: 1 Surgical Technologist to 3 operating rooms/procedures as applicable

Preferred Qualifications:

Extensive CVOR experience in acute care hospital settings
Strong knowledge of cardiovascular surgical instrumentation and procedures
Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
