Expanded Duties Dental Assistant

Join an easy-going and energetic team with a family atmosphere in Fort Walton Beach. Schedule: Monday-Thursday 7:30am-5:00pm; schedule will most likely change to Tuesday-Friday in the future.

About Emerald Waters Dental Care:

We are a collaborative, hardworking, energetic, and easy-going group of dental professionals
We offer a positive and family atmosphere for both our team and patients
Our office is located near the Florida Department of Health (Okaloosa), just south of the Uptown Station shopping area
We offer a wide range of procedures, which creates a lot of variety in our day
Our practice is equipped with modern technology such as digital x-rays and charts and the iTero scanner

What our team is looking for:

1+ years of experience in a dental setting
Dentrix or other dental software experience
A Florida x-ray certificate is required
Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
Experience working in a fast-paced and customer-centric environment
Excellent communication and organizational skills
The position will have access to minimum PHI necessary for performing job-related functions; regular HIPAA training, aligning with the specific role and responsibilities, will be required; and the individual will need to protect PHI and maintain data safeguards.

Qualifications:

Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology Experience working in a patient- or customer-centered environment
If required under the state dental practice act, dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification Excellent communication and organizational skills

Preferred Experience

Dentrix or other dental software experience
Dental assisting school certification
