Outdoor Education Center Nurse

The Outdoor Education nurse position will be responsible for Rockwood School District's 6th grade camp overnights at the Babler Outdoor Education Center in Babler State Park. The position requires day and overnight responsibility ranging from 1 to 3 nights. We have several nurses on staff to fill all vacancies. Dates of work are by choice. Missouri LPN or RN License in good standing and CPR with AED training required. BSN preferred. Pediatric or community health experience preferred. This position is required to be present for the entire program and sleep at the facility overnight. Salary: $14.71/hour. Position will be compensated for all working hours. Pay does not include 8 hours each night spent asleep as part of overnight responsibility. This Position Is Responsible For The Following Administering medication as needed/prescribed. Contact with parents as needed. Monitoring chronic health problems, allergies, behavioral needs. Review of health histories. Chronicle treatment and medications given. 6th grade camp As part of their science curriculum, Rockwood School District's 6th grade students participate in an overnight camp based at the Babler Outdoor Education Center. Students participate in 6+ different classes throughout their stay taught by Rockwood teachers and OEC staff members. This position will work and sleep in the air conditioned/heated administration building at the Outdoor Education Center. Meals are provided through Child Nutrition Services in the dining hall. Position will be compensated for all working hours. Pay does not include 8 hours each night spent asleep as part of overnight responsibility. This position may be required to participate in training by a district nurse prior to 6th grade camp.
