Project Engineer

Job Description Ryan Companies US, Inc. has an immediate opportunity for a Project Engineer. The Project Engineer will assist the project team in completing designated projects while learning Ryan processes, procedures, and business policies. The objective is to educate employees in field and office operations while working on a construction project site for a minimum of six months and preferably for the duration of the entire project. Responsibilities Help generate Requests For Information (RFIs) and track approvals. Monitor and maintain the shop drawing log and coordination. Learn and apply project dimensional control requirements while field‑verifying dimensions to back‑check the shop drawing approval process. Assist in the coordination and tracking of vendor and subcontractor deliveries. Learn Ryan Safety Policies and Procedures. Gain understanding of overall site logistics. Participate in and understand the city and jurisdictional permit inspection process. Keep office and jobsite plans updated with RFIs and ASIs. Accompany Ryan personnel (and owner) on punch‑list inspections, record punch‑list items, and monitor completion of punch‑list work. Participate in preparing and updating the project schedule. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering/Management or a related field. Strong knowledge of estimating techniques, cost control, and material pricing. Ability to perform mathematical calculations and to read architectural and engineering drawings, purchase orders, contracts and cost‑coding systems. Ability to travel to project sites and to assume responsibility, interface & communicate effectively. Preferred Qualifications Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, purchase orders, contracts and cost coding systems. Experience with Construction Management Software such as Procore. Design‑build commercial construction experience. 1+ year of experience in commercial construction. Compensation Salary range: $75,000 – $85,000 annually. The base salary may vary within this range based on location and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation such as commission and/or an incentive program.
