Classification Title: Athletics Team Ops Pro I FLSA: Exempt FTE: 1.0 Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent Position Summary: Responsible for administrative, logistical, and daily operations of the Division I intercollegiate men’s and women’s golf programs. Assisting the coaching staff in the overall administration of the programs, including part-time payroll processing, budget development and management. Serve as the point of contact for travel-related logistics. Serve as the point of contact for the personal development program for student-athletes. Support the Head Coaches with the efficient and productive operation of the men’s and women’s golf programs. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies: Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills. Management and organizational skills. Proficiency with computers, especially using Excel. The ability to develop knowledge of, respect for, and skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds. Knowledge of National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), SEC, UGA, and UGAAA rules and regulations. Ability to effectively communicate to student-athletes, academic counselors, parents, and coaches. Ability to work independently on multiple assignments. Ability to organize as well as prepare for events and travel in advance is imperative. Physical Demands: The employee will lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close and distance vision, and peripheral vision. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but escalates to high during practice and athletic competitions. The scope of the position involves weekend and evening work and occasionally includes overnight, out-of-town travel. Duties/Responsibilities: Operations & Administration Assist the coaching staff in the overall administration of the program, including part-time payroll processing, budget development and management. Provide assistance to the coaching staff for both the men’s and women’s golf programs. Manage the day to day internal and external operations and logistical support of the programs. Serve as point of contact for travel-related logistics. Assist in budget development and adherence for the men’s and women’s golf programs. Serve as the primary staff member responsible for implementing effective internal and external communication and scheduling system for coaches, student-athletes and staff utilizing new and existing technologies (Teamworks). Serve as liaison to the Ticket Office, Marketing & Promotions, Event Management & Facilities and Development Office. Coordinate all alumni relations outreach and programming for the men’s and women’s golf programs. Percentage of time: 55 Duties/Responsibilities: Recruiting Operations Participate in on-campus recruiting activities, focusing on hosting and evaluating relationship building possibilities with prospects and their guests in accordance with NCAA rules and regulations. Maintain and cultivate relationships to promote positive messaging and image of the men’s and women’s golf programs and coaching staff. Assist in the management and oversight of the recruiting database. Percentage of time: 30 Duties/Responsibilities: Personal Development Program Coordinate and execute the personal development and career enhancement program for men’s and women’s golf student-athletes in coordination with new and existing UGAAA programming and in accordance with NCAA rules and regulations. Including, but not limited to, generating content; schedule and coordinate events; coordinate and execute community service programs; schedule speaking engagements; organize community involvement.
