About the Role

The Company is in search of a Chief Development Officer to spearhead its national fundraising efforts. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and implementing a comprehensive fundraising strategy, with the goal of significantly growing the organization's national fundraising capability and revenue. This role involves transforming the development department into a world-class operation, overseeing various fundraising initiatives, and serving as a key external representative. The Chief Development Officer will work closely with the Chief Executive Officer and the leadership team to ensure that the fundraising strategy aligns with the organization's mission and supports its growth over the next 25 years. Applicants for the Chief Development Officer position at the company should be prepared to lead the rebuilding of the organization's fundraising momentum, particularly in the post-pandemic landscape. The role requires a dynamic and influential individual with the vision to build a robust fundraising strategy and the experience to bring it to fruition. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in fundraising, including contributions from individuals, corporations, foundations, and events. They must be adept at donor retention and engagement, and be capable of supporting the growth of fundraising potential across the organization's numerous chapters. The Chief Development Officer will be a pivotal part of the executive leadership team, driving innovation and growth in line with the company's strategic plan.
