Position Overview: This is a 100% inpatient position with no outpatient responsibilities, ideal for a neurologist passionate about academic medicine, bedside teaching, and high-acuity neurologic care.

Responsibilities

The Neurohospitalist will rotate weekly through several services to provide comprehensive inpatient neurologic care across two campuses:

• Moses Campus (~700 bed hospital)
  • Primary Team Inpatient Service
  • Lead a general neurology inpatient team teaching neurology residents
  • Alternatively supervise a PA-supported primary neurology service
  • General Neurology Consult Service
  • Attending-only consult service
  • Resident-based teaching consult service
• Weiler Campus (~400 bed hospital)
  • General Neurology Consult Service
  • Collaborative team model with residents and PAs

The Neurohospitalist would not be involved in stroke codes as there is a dedicated stroke consult team/service for this.

Requirements

• Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Neurology
• Eligible for medical licensure in New York
• Committed to academic medicine and trainee education
• Comfortable working in diverse care models (resident-led teams and PA-supported services)
• Skilled in managing high-acuity inpatient neurologic conditions
• Collaborative, adaptable, and team-oriented
