Job Description
This position involves working as a Cleanroom Production Operator in a fast-paced production environment. The role focuses on performing epitaxial growth and metrology processes for silicon wafers. Operators are required to work in a cleanroom environment, wearing full personal protective equipment (PPE) including a hooded full-body cleanroom gown, hairnet or beard net, safety glasses, face mask/shield, latex or nitrile gloves, and a chemical apron. The cleanroom is air-conditioned and well-ventilated, though it can become warm due to the cleanroom attire.
Responsibilities

• Follow complex, detailed procedures and complete documentation to meet daily targets without defects.
• Ensure wafers are processed according to specific customer requirements contained in work orders.
• Participate in cross-training to become certified to rotate among multiple process areas within the department.
• Work around hazardous and volatile chemicals while adhering to all safety protocols.
• Stand and walk for long periods during a 12-hour shift, and move, lift, and transport items weighing up to 30 pounds.
• Perform repetitive motions and apply pressure to grasp objects.
• Kneel, crouch, stoop, bend, reach, and crawl as necessary for certain tasks.
• Clean and organize equipment and work area using mild chemicals to meet clean room and 5S standards.
• Operate a cart to transport materials and equipment weighing up to 400 lbs.
• Review work orders, load materials onto tools, and input data using a computer.
• Complete computerized forms and labels, and perform daily calibrations for each process tool.
• Monitor, analyze, and verify that all data and processes meet quality specifications.
• Operate robotic equipment to transport material and products.
• Maintain safety by completing tasks using safe behaviors and reporting any unsafe conditions.
• Ensure quality standards are met and report any variations or errors.

Essential Skills

• Experience with computer usage, including software such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Proficiency in using a calculator, copier, fax, scanner, and telephone.
• Ability to speak, read, and write effectively in English.
• Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Multitasking, teamwork, production, and organizational skills.

Work Environment
Work in a highly automated cleanroom environment wearing full PPE, including a hooded cleanroom suit. Shifts are 12 hours long, either day or night, on a compressed schedule that includes every other weekend. Night shifts receive a 15% shift differential pay incentive.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vancouver, WA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
