Working evenings after 5pm, Monday-Friday. Specifications are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job.Qualifications:Required:Ability to pass a drug screening and State of Alaska background checkA current valid driver's licenseQualify for SFA's commercial automobile insurancePreferred:Diploma or GEDCustodial experienceSkills required:Knowledge of:Methods of cleaning and preserving floors, walls and fixturesCleaning materials and disinfectantsOccupational hazards and standard safety practicesThe operation of common janitorial equipment (e.g. broom, ladder, step stool), motorized vehicles and power equipment (e.g. vacuums, common power tools, yard equipment)Ability to:Work independently in the absence of supervisionGreat written and verbal communication skillsBuild good rapport with those contacted in-the-course-of workJob responsibilities:Clean and care for assigned areas and equipment. Cleaning duties will be performed outside of regular office hoursPerform moderate to heavy manual workPerform minor repairs and assist with office movesWork is performed primarily in an indoor environment, with occasional travel from site to site; exposure to dust, grease, odors, and cleaning agents; work hours include shift work to minimize disruption of daily operational activitiesPrimary functions require enough physical ability and mobility to walk and stand for prolonged periods of time; stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, reach and twist; regularly push, pull, lift, and/or carry light to moderately heavy objects and occasionally objects over 45 pounds; requires an ability to operate various equipment
