Clinical Nurse Coordinator NICU III

Hourly Wage Estimate: $43.57 – $62.29 / hour Job Summary The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) in the NICU III unit ensures and delivers high quality, patient‑centered care and coordination of all functions during the designated shift. The CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies, serves as a resource for staff, and models the organization’s vision, mission, and values. Responsibilities Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient‑centered care. Participate in ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit. Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service. Support a patient‑first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary. Operationalize nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives to improve engagement. Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff. Recommend and implement courses of action, including training and development, conflict resolution, personnel policy compliance, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions. Assist with staff scheduling and manage all practical aspects of staff labor. Support proper inventory control and assist with managing supplies and equipment. Qualifications Registered Nurse (RN) with Associate Degree. Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment. Neonate Resuscitation certification within 30 days of employment. Strong leadership and communication skills. Experience in a NICU or similar critical care environment preferred.
