Registered Respiratory Therapist - Night Shift
This is a night shift position, working 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30.
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for an immediate opening. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in adult critical care or emergency department settings. This role requires expertise in various respiratory procedures and familiarity with a variety of respiratory equipment.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive respiratory care to adult and geriatric patients.
- Administer treatments and procedures as per established protocols.
- Assist in the management of ventilated patients and participate in weaning and extubation processes.
- Utilize advanced equipment such as BiPAP, CPAP, and high-flow nasal cannula.
- Interpret arterial blood gases and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
- Collaborate with medical teams and participate in rapid response initiatives.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT).
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
- Experience with Cerner charting system is preferred.
- Valid Maryland or Compact state license is required at the time of submission.
- Prior charge experience is an advantage.
