Senior Java Software Engineer

Our client is a well established financial services client that has outstanding employee tenure and promotes from within. Due to growth they are seeking a Senior Java Developer to design, develop, and maintain their platform that provides third parties, clients, and client-facing applications with access to highly critical, real-time services required for day-to-day operations. The Senior Developer will design and implement new features and interfaces, write documentation units, handle regression tests and write backend services.

Job Function: Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain Java based platform, which currently provides third Parties, clients, and our client-facing applications with access to highly critical, real-time services required for day-to-day operations You will work with business and internal teams, adding new features and interfaces as required. You will write documentation units and regression tests for new interfaces. You will write backend services and/or clients that will help expose internal services. You will provide third-level support. Job Requirement Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field. Proven experience as a Java Developer with expertise in Java, Spring, Vert.x Proficiency in using Git version control for code management and collaboration. Strong command of RESTful web services and experience in designing and implementing them. Experience with JUnit or other testing frameworks for writing unit and integration tests. Solid understanding of software development principles and best practices. Experience with WebSockets and real-time communication in a Java-based environment Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and within a team. Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset. Continuous learning and staying up-to-date with the industry Familiarity with cloud technologies (e.g., AWS) is a plus. Previous experience with agile development methodologies is a plus.
