Part-Time Custodian

Blair Community Schools is seeking a dependable and hardworking Part-Time Custodian to join our maintenance and custodial team. This position is approximately 20 hours per week and is responsible for helping maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Position Responsibilities

Clean and maintain classrooms, offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas.
Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize assigned areas.
Empty trash and recycling containers.
Clean and maintain floors and other building surfaces.
Assist with setting up and cleaning up areas for school activities and events.
Report maintenance, safety, or security concerns to appropriate personnel.
Follow established cleaning procedures and safety guidelines.
Perform other custodial duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
Strong attention to cleanliness and detail.
Ability to follow directions and established procedures.
Ability to safely perform routine custodial duties, including lifting and moving supplies and equipment.
Previous custodial or commercial cleaning experience is preferred but not required.
Must be able to work effectively around students, staff, and the public.

Schedule

Part-time - approximately 20 hours per week

Work schedule and hours will be determined based on school and building needs.
