Obstetric Registered Nurse (OB RN)
An opportunity is available for a dedicated Obstetric Registered Nurse (OB RN) to provide quality care in a dynamic healthcare environment. The successful candidate will work in the labor and delivery unit, focusing on the care of mothers and newborns.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients in the labor and delivery unit.
- Assist in the delivery process, including monitoring and supporting fetal and maternal health.
- Document patient information accurately in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, specifically Cerner.
- Float to MedSurg as necessary when the census is low, providing care to patients as needed.
- Participate in routine scheduled shifts without on-call responsibilities.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure the best patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required.
- Experience in Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) is a must.
- Previous experience in a delivery room setting, including receiving newborns.
- Must have prior MedSurg experience to ensure capability of providing care when necessary.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Shift: Days, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, totaling 36 hours per week for a duration of 8 weeks. Flexibility to cover the holiday schedule is essential.
Scrubs: Any color.
