Express Employment Professionals is recruiting an experienced CNC Operations Manager on behalf of an advanced manufacturing company!


Job Title: CNC Operations Manager
Schedule: Monday-Friday | Minimum 45 Hours/Week | Overtime as Needed
Pay Range: $75k-95k Salary


This leadership role is responsible for overseeing daily machining operations, driving production performance, mentoring supervisors and production teams, and ensuring quality and on-time delivery across the shop floor.


This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for an experienced manufacturing professional with a strong CNC machining background and proven management experience.


Key Responsibilities:


Operations & Production Management

• Oversee daily machining operations to ensure production goals, quality standards, and delivery deadlines are met
• Schedule workflow through machining centers and coordinate production priorities
• Drive lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
• Manage productivity, quality, safety, and process improvement projects
• Maintain a safe and organized 5S work environment
• Collaborate with supervisors and leadership on production schedules and project timelines

Leadership & Team Development

• Lead, mentor, and support supervisors and production employees
• Conduct employee reviews and performance evaluations
• Assist with hiring and workforce planning alongside HR
• Identify skill gaps and implement employee training plans
• Support disciplinary processes and maintain accountability across teams

Technical Requirements Candidates MUST have:

• Minimum 5 years of CNC Machining and CNC Programming experience
• Minimum 5-10 years of manufacturing or production management experience
• Advanced programming experience (Mastercam or CAD preferred)
• 3-5 axis machining experience in a hands-on shop floor environment
• Experience with high-tolerance machining and geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD files
• Experience using ERP systems (MIE Trak preferred)
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and manufacturing software

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Machine Tool, Manufacturing Technology, or related field preferred
• OR equivalent industry experience (10-15 years)
• Prototyping experience preferred
• Experience leading teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Physical & Work Environment:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Frequent bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 75 lbs.
• Exposure to machine noise, vibration, fumes, and airborne particles
• Fast-paced manufacturing environment with moving mechanical equipment
• PPE required based on work area and tasks performed
