Description: Direct patient care is provided on a medical-surgical/telemetry unit. This position requires a 12-hour night shift (18:45 - 07:15) three days a week. Every other weekend work is expected. Patient-to-nurse ratios are 1:4-5. First-time travelers are accepted. Mandatory certifications include ACLS, NIH, and BCLS. There is no on-call requirement for this position. Floating between units may be required based on facility needs. This role includes caring for acutely ill medical-surgical patients transitioning from intensive care. Telemetry monitoring and administration of IV medications, including antiarrhythmic medications and heparin, will be necessary.
