It is the foundation of The Memorial Experience.Summary:Responsible for the preparation, delivery and proper storage of human milk and infant formula.Responsibilities:Monitors inventory of patient specific milk deposits.Collect breast milk, insures proper labeling and storage.Reviews infant feeding orders and clarifies them with the patient care team.Accurately calculates human milk and formula additives based on order and mixes appropriately.Utilizes computerized inventory system and escalates any issues to leadership.Follows food safety guidelines in milk room as well as maintaining stock of preparation supplies.Monitors temperature and function of each freezer and refrigerator in the milk room and reports concerns to leadership.Competencies:ACCOUNTABILITY, CUSTOMER SERVICE, INFECTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL - ANCILLARY AND SUPPORT, ORGANIZATION SKILLS (4), PATIENT AND FAMILY CENTERED CARE, PATIENT SAFETY - ANCILLARY/SUPPORT, PROBLEM SOLVING, RESPONDING TO CHANGE, STANDARDS OF BEHAVIOREducation and Certification Requirements:High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)Additional Job Information:Complexity of Work: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
