The level III Women's Center at Banner Desert Medical Center consists of a Labor & Delivery, High Risk Antepartum, OB Triage, OB OR's & Postpartum Mother-Baby department that delivers professional and compassionate care to the mother's & babies any gestation birth until discharge. Our highly skilled team includes experienced bedside registered nurses, licensed nursing assistants, scrub techs' and IBCLC certified lactation consultants that care for the physical and emotional needs of delivering mothers and babies. Our services include 24 hour OB, MFM and Anesthesia coverage as well as Level 1 OB trauma services. Our amazing team of Registered Nurses take part in 300-350 deliveries per month. POSITION SUMMARY This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and in accordance with standards of professional nursing practice utilizing the framework for professional nursing practice and development. This position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others who are under their direction. This position utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills necessary to assess data and plan, provide and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients.
