Cable Technician

Pay Range: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, and skills.

Outsource is seeking a motivated Cable Technician to join our team in Charleston, South Carolina. This is a local, non-travel position ideal for a candidate with at least 1 year of hands-on cable installation or repair experience. You'll play a key role in delivering reliable connectivity solutions to residential and commercial customers in the area. We're looking to fill this role quickly with someone ready to start working in the local community right away.

Job Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain cable, internet, and voice services at customer locations
• Run and terminate coaxial, fiber, and Ethernet cabling in residential and commercial settings
• Diagnose and troubleshoot signal issues using industry-standard testing equipment
• Educate customers on equipment setup and basic troubleshooting steps
• Maintain accurate records of work orders, materials used, and service completion
• Ensure all installations meet safety codes and company quality standards
• Coordinate with dispatch and team members to manage daily service schedules

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in cable installation, telecommunications, or related field
• Working knowledge of coaxial, fiber optic, and Ethernet cabling systems
• Familiarity with signal testing tools and diagnostic equipment
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently while managing a daily route in the Charleston area
• Comfortable working in attics, crawl spaces, and outdoor environments

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly pay range of $18.00 to $30.00 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, and project requirements
