Senior Project Manager

Job Overview HNTB is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead multidisciplinary architecture, engineering, and other transportation and infrastructure projects, including aviation and transit, through all phases from pursuit and planning through design and project closeout. Responsible for proactively managing scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, contractual requirements, and financial performance, the Senior Project Manager ensures successful project outcomes and drives HNTB's 4 for 4 performance goals—quality work, on time, on budget, and client satisfaction. In addition, the position supports business development, contributes to pursuits and proposals, and mentors project staff. What You’ll Do Actively manage project scope, schedule, and budget and serve as the primary client liaison. Implement HNTB’s Sophisticated Delivery Approach on each project. Develop project scope and fee quotations and assist in proposals and contracts. Provide oversight and monitoring of work for less experienced project managers; coordinate work efforts and review work performed. Schedule and manage the integration of quality management throughout all project phases. Oversee project staffing across departments, offices, and divisions. Perform other duties as assigned. What You’ll Need Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a relevant degree. 16 years of relevant experience; or 20 years of experience in lieu of education. What We Prefer Licensed Architect (RA) or Professional Engineer (PE). Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary architecture, engineering, and infrastructure projects through all phases. Proven success developing project workplans and managing scope, schedule, budget, risk, quality, and financial performance. Strong understanding of project controls, utilization management, earned revenue, and profitability. Ability to proactively identify risks and implement corrective actions. Strong communication, negotiation, client management, and stakeholder engagement skills. Experience delivering aviation facilities and airport infrastructure projects, with transit, government, and other infrastructure experience considered beneficial. Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop project managers and technical professionals within a multidisciplinary environment.
