This position with one of VISTA's healthcare partners in California might be the perfect fit for you! Opportunity Highlights Schedule: 3-4 days/week, 3-4 weeks/month; 12 weeks duration. Various shift options available including: 8, 10, and 24 hour shifts Day shifts, in-house call, weeknight and weekend on-call Weeknight Call: 3p-7am Weekend Call: 7a-7a OB c-section/OB epidural: 7am-3p or 3p-7am (Sat/Sun 7a-7a) Main OR: M-F 7a-5p (Sat/Sun 7a-5p) Out of OR: 7a-5p Nerve blocks: Mon-Fri 7a-5p Job Setting: 6 Anesthesia Rooms; Epic charting system; MDs doing their own cases Types of Cases: OB, General, Cardiac, Ortho, Neuro, Pediatrics Pre-anesthesia assessment Obtains and/or verifies patient consent Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient Induction, maintenance and emergence from anesthesia Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition Performance of clinical intervention as needed Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures Credentialing: 60 days; Temporary privileges available (30-60 days) Minimum Requirements Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certification Required Certifications: M.D./D.O.
