Key Responsibilities

• Contribute professional and clinical knowledge and skills in the provision and management of patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team
• Provide direct nursing care to Medical Surgical patients, including surgical and post-operative populations
• Manage a patient assignment of up to 5–7 patients per shift
• Utilize EPIC EMR for documentation and care coordination
• Float within the same discipline across local campuses as needed

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical, Post-Op, or Stepdown nursing experience
• Surgical and post-operative surgical experience required
• Comfort managing a patient ratio of up to 5–7 patients
• Active RN state license (Iowa and/or Illinois) required
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
• Valid driver's license required
• Must have a taxable address located more than 50 miles from the facility
• Must not have been employed by the facility within the last 12 months

Preferred Experience / Skills

• At least one prior travel nursing contract completed
• Experience with EPIC EMR
