TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Prescott, Arizona, 86301!

Job Title: RN II - Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Ability to read basic telemetry strips - Experience with CVA and TIA - Cerner experience recommended - Total joint replacement experience Description: The clinician must pass a dysrhythmia exam within two attempts prior to signing the contract. If the clinician fails to score 80% in two attempts, they will be disqualified for 6 months. Candidates may not have been employed full-time, part-time, or PRN within the past year with any facilities associated with the health system. The unit handles a variety of diagnoses, including CHF, COVID, respiratory issues, GI conditions, diabetes, telemetry patients, post-catheterization, and total joint replacements. Registered Nurses are required to interpret telemetry strips and sign off at least once per shift. Charge Nurses and House Supervisors are present on the unit. There are nurse aides available with a ratio of 1:10-15. Key equipment includes BiPap, CPAP, and breathing treatments. Shifts are from 7 PM to 7 AM with schedules prepared every four weeks using self-scheduling. A weekend commitment of two weekends per four-week schedule is required. For major holidays, a commitment of two days and either the eve or two eves and one day is preferred. Floating may occur to other departments if qualified. The dress code consists of navy blue scrubs. There is one shift of orientation on the unit. Charting is conducted using the Cerner system.
