Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students as a Special Education Teacher supporting a unique virtual school program. This contract role offers the opportunity to work with a small caseload in an innovative educational setting, engaging learners virtually while collaborating onsite at the district office. You’ll have the guidance and assistance of the Special Education director, helping provide tailored interventions and support for approximately seven students.
Key qualifications sought include:
- Valid licensure in Special Education (proof of licensure required)
- Demonstrated experience as a Special Education Teacher, preferably with background in virtual or blended learning environments
- Strong technical skills and adaptability to support virtual instruction and documentation
- Effective communication abilities for collaborating within the team and engaging families virtually
- Dedication to personalized instruction and accommodations, ensuring each student’s success
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering high-quality, individualized special education services both virtually and in coordination with onsite support
- Supporting a caseload of approximately seven students, adapting instruction to meet unique learning needs
- Creating and implementing IEPs with measurable goals, progress monitoring, and documentation in compliance with regulations
- Collaborating closely with the Special Education director, other educators, and families to maximize student engagement and growth
- Utilizing best practices in virtual instruction and accessible technology to foster a productive learning environment
Enjoy a flexible commitment of 10 to 20 hours per week through June 11, 2027, allowing you to balance your professional expertise with other commitments. This role places you at the forefront of innovation in special education, connecting with students and staff in meaningful ways.
