Founded in 1985 and privately held by the original owner, the company has built a strong reputation for quality, on-time delivery, and close collaboration with customers. Magic Metals is ISO 9001 registered and works with aluminum, steel, and high-finish stainless steel, serving a diverse range of industries. The facility features state-of-the-art equipment, including lasers, CNC punches, press brakes, mills, and complete CAD-CAM capabilities, as well as UL-listed production for multiple NEMA electrical enclosure types. Team members benefit from working in a technically advanced environment that supports quick-turn prototypes and Kanban inventory systems.
Role Description The Maintenance professional role is a full-time, on-site position based at Magic Metals in Yakima, WA. This role is responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment such as lasers, CNC punches, press brakes, mills, and related support systems. Daily tasks include troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, conducting routine inspections, and completing repairs to minimize downtime and ensure safe operation. The Maintenance professional will also help maintain facility infrastructure, document maintenance activities, coordinate with production teams to schedule work, and support continuous improvement in equipment reliability. Collaboration with engineering, fabrication, and management teams is expected to align maintenance priorities with production needs.
Qualifications

Knowledge of basic electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and troubleshooting techniques for production machinery.

Comfort working on-site around heavy machinery, with a focus on safety, cleanliness, and adherence to company and regulatory standards.
