Shift Details

• 12 Hours shift Minimum of 2 shifts per week or as needed.

• Nights, Weekends, Holidays

Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse Duties & Responsibilities

• Provides direct, individualized nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients, including assessment, monitoring, medication administration, and treatment.

• Responds promptly to changes in patient condition and initiates and maintains the computerized Plan of Care based on patient needs.

• Collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and promote positive patient outcomes.

• Provides compassionate, age-appropriate care while respecting patient confidentiality, cultural needs, dignity, and psychosocial well-being.

• Demonstrates sound clinical judgment, effective communication, teamwork, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

• Floats to other departments as needed within scope of practice and competency; supports hospital policies, procedures, mission, values, and required education programs.

**Minimum Qualifications **

• Current, valid, and unrestrictedCA license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.

• Minimum of two (2) recent years of nursing experience as Med Surge / Telemetry

• Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.

• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., .BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client-specific requirements).
