What You Will Do Work Monday through Thursday, 3:30 pm–1:30 am, 4 x 10‑hour shifts. Under direction of supervision, perform pre‑coating operations including surface preparation and masking. Execute post‑coating tasks such as removing parts from fixtures, removing masking, troubleshooting equipment, diagnosing malfunctions, and performing minor repairs on coating equipment where applicable. Deburr, blend, polish, countersink, grind, drill, or grit‑blast operations on aerospace engine components using a variety of hand and power tools. Conduct total preventive maintenance on applicable machines and equipment. Check parts to meet visual and dimensional requirements using measuring tools such as micrometers, verniers, height gages and other fixed gauges, ensuring parts meet quality requirements. Remove burrs, nicks, and scratches on parts from oral and written instructions. Assist engineers and others in developing new or changed operations. Make recommendations for changing and improving operating parameters and processes. Refer any difficulties to leader or supervisor. Maintain flexibility around shifts, including overtime, training, and workflow maintenance. Qualifications You Must Have 0–1 year of related experience, or a completed degree/certificate from a post‑secondary or vocational school in a related field with 0–1 + years of related experience. High School diploma or GED. Qualifications We Prefer Experience with metal finishing methods, spray coating/paint application, machining, grinding, and/or welding. Experience with computerized machine operation. Experience with precision measuring instruments such as feeler gauges, verniers, calipers, and micrometers. Knowledge of arithmetic involving decimals and fractions. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions concerning work methods and procedures. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Basic computer skills. Flexibility around shifts, for training and to maintain workflow, including overtime.
