Quality Technician

Quality TechnicianLocation: Knoxville TN Hours: M-F 7AM-4PM Pay: $20. - $22 DOEA Quality Technician I is responsible for but not limited to the following:Works directly on the production floor to ensure quality in processes and products outcomeAccurately and efficiently builds and assembles standard hydraulic power unitsPerforms incoming inspections on components as well as First Article Inspections on new cylinders from overseas suppliersUnderstands and follows quality assurance systems, processes, and proceduresInspects the quality of manufactured products to ensure customers' needs are metInterfaces with production, procurement, and customer service teamsWorks collaboratively with many types of people within the company, domestically as well as internationallyFollows safety and security policies and proceduresReports on any unsafe or potentially unsafe conditions to the appropriate individualsConducts floor audits, calibrations, and incoming inspectionsReads and interprets written information including engineering documentsFollows all safety practices and guidelines while working including keeping work area clean and free of safety hazardsSelects and uses appropriate equipment, supplies and toolsPosition Requirements:High School diploma/GEDAt least one-year work-related experience Preferred Work experience with hydraulic cylinders, hydraulic power units, and hydraulic systems EssentialJob Functions:Works autonomously and collaboratively in a fast past environment while maintaining a professional and upbeat attitudeOutstanding organizational, interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skillsStands for prolonged periods of time with or without reasonable accommodationTolerates odors, fumes and airborne particles from machines and chemicals with or without reasonable accommodationsTolerates various levels of heat with or without reasonable accommodationsTolerates moderate to loud noise levels with or without reasonable accommodationsLifts up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodationsWalks throughout a large facility with or without reasonable accommodationsWorks overtime and weekends based on business needsCompensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $20.00 - $22.00All compensation and pay rates are dependent upon skills and experience.
