The Certified Midwife will provide comprehensive care to women of color throughout pregnancy, labor, and the postpartum period in a hospital setting. This role involves supporting and educating patients, conducting health assessments, and ensuring safe clinical practices during childbirth.
Responsibilities
- Provide prenatal care and monitor maternal and fetal health
- Support women during labor and delivery
- Deliver postnatal care to mother and newborn
- Educate patients on pregnancy, childbirth, and newborn care
- Conduct thorough health assessments and screenings
- Respond promptly to emergencies during labor and delivery
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Collaborate with hospital staff and other healthcare providers
- Offer family planning counseling and services
- Perform clinical procedures related to midwifery care
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in midwifery
