Restaurant Manager

We’re looking for a strong, hands-on   Restaurant Manager / Floor Manager   to join a hospitality team in the Del Mar area.

This is a great opportunity for someone who genuinely enjoys being in the restaurant - leading a team, interacting with guests, jumping in when things get busy, and making sure the entire operation runs smoothly.

We’re looking for a manager who is present, engaged, and comfortable leading from the floor. Someone who can see what needs to happen before being asked, stay calm when service gets hectic, and knows how to balance great hospitality with strong operational standards.

This is not a role where you’ll be sitting in the office all night. The majority of your time will be spent on the floor, with your team and your guests.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Oversee the restaurant during daily service and make sure the operation is running smoothly
• Lead and support the front-of-house team, including servers, hosts, bartenders, bussers, food runners, and supervisors
• Maintain a strong presence on the floor and keep service moving at the right pace
• Check in with guests, make sure they’re having a great experience, and step in when something needs to be addressed
• Handle guest concerns and complaints with professionalism, good judgment, and a hospitality-first mindset
• Jump in wherever you’re needed - whether that means helping a server, assisting with floor coverage, or getting involved operationally during a busy service
• Coach and develop team members and help create a positive, accountable restaurant culture
• Lead by example and hold the team to consistent service and hospitality standards
• Communicate closely with the kitchen and management team to keep service running efficiently
• Assist with opening and closing procedures and make sure the restaurant is set up properly for each shift
• Assist with scheduling, labor management, and controlling unnecessary overtime and labor costs
• Monitor operational and financial goals and look for opportunities to improve efficiency and revenue
• Support promotions, events, and other initiatives designed to drive business
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, training, and ongoing development of team members
• Address performance issues appropriately and follow through when coaching or accountability is needed
• Communicate regularly with the General Manager and other members of the leadership team
• Stay aware of hospitality trends and look for ways to continually improve the guest experience

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who has   restaurant management or strong supervisory experience   and is ready to take ownership of a shift and a team.

The right person will be:

• Hands-on and comfortable jumping into the operation when needed
• Confident leading a team without needing to be the loudest person in the room
• Comfortable making decisions and solving problems in real time
• Warm, personable, and genuinely hospitality-minded
• A strong communicator who can work well with both FOH and BOH teams
• Organized and able to keep track of multiple priorities during a busy service
• Comfortable coaching employees and holding people accountable
• Familiar with restaurant labor and cost controls
• Comfortable working with POS and basic computer systems
• Someone who takes pride in the details and notices when something isn't quite right
• Someone who enjoys developing people and building a strong team around them

You’re on the floor, you know what’s happening in your restaurant, and you’re paying attention to both the little things and the bigger picture. Your team feels supported but also knows what is expected of them.

When service gets busy, you don’t disappear -  you jump in.

When a guest has an issue, you handle it.

When an employee is struggling, you coach them.

When something isn't working, you figure out how to make it better.

And at the end of the night, you’ve helped create an environment where both guests and employees want to come back.

Schedule & Requirements

This is a full-time restaurant management position. Candidates must be comfortable working a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends, holidays, and busy service periods.

This is an active, hands-on position requiring the ability to stand and walk for extended periods and assist with the physical demands of a busy restaurant environment.
