Electro Mechanical Technician

My client is seeking a skilled Electro‑Mechanical Technician to support production, equipment maintenance, and continuous improvement activities within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong hands‑on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting capabilities, experience working with automated or semi‑automated machinery. Description They key responsibilities of the Electro-Mechanical Technician will be: Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Install, maintain, and repair production equipment, tooling, and auxiliary machinery to ensure optimal operation. Conduct routine preventive maintenance and document maintenance activities accurately. Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals. Calibrate, test, and validate equipment performance to meet operational and quality standards. Support production teams during equipment changeovers, setup, and adjustments. Identify root causes of equipment failures and recommend corrective actions to improve reliability. Assist with equipment upgrades, modifications, and continuous improvement initiatives. Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment. Collaborate cross‑functionally with engineering, quality, and production to resolve equipment‑related issues. Profile The successful Electro-Mechanical Technician will have the following: Associate degree or technical certification in Electro‑Mechanical Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or a related field (or equivalent hands‑on experience). 3+ years of experience in an electro‑mechanical technician, maintenance technician, or related role in a manufacturing setting. Strong mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of motors, gearboxes, sensors, relays, pneumatics, and control systems. Basic understanding of PLCs and ability to assist with troubleshooting (is a plus). Proficiency using hand tools, multimeters, and other diagnostic equipment. Ability to read schematics and interpret technical documentation. Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
