Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Every Other Weekend

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Room setting with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Operate within an emergency response framework — may be assigned to an Emergency Team during declared events, with an expectation to remain on-site or serve as part of a relief team until the event concludes
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Epic EMR
• Maintain availability to work 2 of 4 designated holiday periods annually (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's), based on departmental needs and staff rotation
• Complete required facility orientation modules, which are conducted on-site and recorded by the facility

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — Compact or Louisiana license required and must be in hand at time of submittal
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Emergency Room nursing
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and CPI certifications required — AHA-issued certifications required; CPI must be obtained prior to start if not already held
• Epic EMR experience required
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Must reside more than 65 miles from the facility (as measured from the address on file with the driver's license to the facility address) to be eligible
• NURSYS report required at time of submission and must be current (within 4 weeks of submission date)
• Candidates who previously worked as permanent staff or in-house agency contractors at this health system must have been separated for a minimum of 1 full year before being eligible to return as a traveler
• Royal blue scrubs required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• TNCC certification preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience strongly preferred
• Familiarity with emergency department workflows and high-acuity patient populations
