About This Office

Smile Design Orange City is seeking a patient-focused Dental Hygienist to join our growing team in Orange City, Florida. We are looking for someone who is passionate about educating patients, effectively communicating treatment recommendations, and creating positive experiences that build trust and confidence. Our ideal candidate is dependable, positive, and committed to delivering exceptional clinical care while helping patients understand the connection between their oral health and overall wellness. Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional patient care by delivering preventive, periodontal, and therapeutic dental hygiene services.
• Educate patients on oral health, treatment recommendations, periodontal health, and preventive care to help them achieve long-term dental wellness.
• Clearly communicate clinical findings and treatment needs while building trust and confidence with patients.
• Perform patient assessments, periodontal charting, intraoral evaluations, and radiographs.
• Partner closely with the doctor and team members to support comprehensive patient care and treatment acceptance.
• Maintain accurate and thorough clinical documentation.
• Follow all infection control, sterilization, and workplace safety protocols.
• Utilize clinical technology and diagnostic tools to support patient care and education.
• Create a welcoming, positive environment that promotes an outstanding patient experience.
• Contribute to a collaborative team culture through professionalism, dependability, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Current Florida Dental Hygienist license (or ability to obtain before start date).
• Strong commitment to patient-centered care and education.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to effectively explain treatment recommendations and oral health findings.
• Dependable, positive, and team-oriented approach.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to build meaningful relationships with patients and coworkers.
• Passion for helping patients improve and maintain their oral health.
• Experience with Dentrix and Dexis is preferred but not required.
• New graduates and experienced hygienists are encouraged to apply.
